What is it? – IoT Edition
Internet of Things (IoT)
The IoT is a network of physical objects from diverse locations connected for data exchange. Integrating physical things with the connected world enables smarter systems from home automation to large factories, which results in improved efficiency, accuracy, precision and economic benefits.
Machine to Machine (M2M)
Machine to machine refers to direct communication between devices using any communications channel, including wired and wireless. In modern times the communication is often via the IoT. This can include industrial instrumentation such as enabling a sensor or meter to communicate its data to application software that can use it.
The broker routs and manages messages being sent and received by many clients that connect to it. It is the central hub that acts as a traffic cop sending messages based on client requests and permissions. The infiswift platform is based on one of the lightest brokers available on the market.
